Four looks with a pink tank and jeans

I love clothes that do double time and overtime. Clothes that can be washed at home and don’t need to be ironed. Clothes that can be worn to work, out for dinner and at home with the kids.

In this ‘four looks’ post, I’ve styled a light pink tank top with jeans in four different ways. A critical part of these looks is mastering the ‘front tuck’ (a how-to for the front tuck coming soon!) because it adds dimension to the boxy cut of the tank top. The jeans could be replaced with a darker wash (in winter) or wide-legged cropped jeans or high waisted skinnies (these are mid-rise).

  1. For brunch, a day with the girls or a more casual workplace: flats, a cardigan and a silk scarf. I love the bright pink shoes with the muted pink top - not too matchy-matchy.

  2. For date night: add a black leather jacket and black booties. A statement necklace (mine is hard to see but it is there - in gold) finishes this look.

  3. For work: add a blazer (a grey blazer is super versatile) and nude pumps (or booties or riding boots wold be cute too!). The long necklace is sophisticated and work-appropriate.

  4. For play: work, day with the kids or a casual workplace, I love the camo print with the rose pink - the pink softens the camo and the silver booties add a touch of edge. For a day with the kids, swap out the booties for white sneakers.
